• Check the AISC / Code Watch — plain-English notes on standards, certification, and education updates, each with a link back to the official source.
• Scan the Software Watch — what changed in Tekla Structures, Bluebeam Revu, Procore, SDS2 press/news, STRUMIS, and ALLPLAN, and who on the job needs to care.
• Copy an RFI template — five field-tested formats: missing embeds, connection clarification, grid conflicts, coatings, and delayed-response/change-impact wording.

Steel Market Signal

We track three different kinds of market context, and we keep them separate on purpose:

• Market and pricing headlines — MetalMiner and Steel Market Update cover metals pricing, procurement, and tariff news. We link the headline; we do not repeat their numbers.
• Official industry and production context — World Steel Association press items, such as monthly crude-steel production figures. Industry context, not pricing advice.
• Public index data — the U.S. BLS Producer Price Index, series WPU101 (iron and steel) and WPU1017 (steel mill products). This is a monthly index series published by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, often preliminary and subject to revision. It is a signal to watch — not a spot steel price, not a quote, not a procurement instruction, and not a forecast.
